Me and 3 friends (all 16) want to drive down to beach and rent a house down there for a couple days.

Every state that I know of requires that you be 18 in order to sign a contract and renting a house for a few days falls under that law.
Depends on what state you live in but I think you need someone to be 18 to rent the beach house because they will ask for ID
No you must be 18 and what landlord in his right mind would rent to 16 year old.
