Window treatments on sliding glass doors. Has anyone seen shutter on them? Are using at a beach house?

We are decorating our beach house and have 2 sets of sliding glass doors with southern exposure. Some one suggested shutters. Our furniture is the south beach look. Have a great view but will have lots of sun. We will be using the doors alot as they go out to the front deck where we dine out. Any suggestionsWindow treatments on sliding glass doors. i had the same issue. how to keep privacy, let light in, and also have nice treatments. I had top/down -bottom/up duette (honeycomb) shades made for each door, (one shade for each door- so there are two shades for each 6' sliding door set) with special attention made to be able to access the door handle. i usually keep the blinds set up about 1/4 of the way up each door. They work whether the doors are open or closed. Also, I put a custom drape/valance on top of the door as an added touch. that way, the doors look like windows if I like- or can be used as the sliders that they are, without any fuss. (this is NOT a do it yourself measurement or installation.) cost- (although I live in an expensive area) is about $300 per set of sliders not including drapery/valance. Bound to be less where you are. I can send you a photo if you like.
